Looking to plant a couple of rhizomes this year.

I live on the Gulf Coast (Galveston) and was wondering if anyone might have any ideas on what strains I could get to grow best.

My yard has around 4 or 5 hours of direct sunlight a day, I figure. Maybe more.

It will obviously be super humid, so with that in mind, shoot!

Not being super serious about it, I would just like to have enough for a batch of beer or two at the end of the year.

Thanks!

Personally I have no experience but I am interested to find out. I live in Houston. Might want to add the 3-4 month out of the year with 100+ degree weather. I bet these will need tons of watering.

apologies for sounding like a broken record, but may i humbly propose that you check out this spreadsheet: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f92/hops-comparison-table-297038/ - refer to the "Climate & Growing Conditions" column. "Not adapted to southern Idaho" is code for won't do well in heat. feel free to click yea olde "proust" button if you find it useful.
