Does anyone brew indoors or in the basement with natural gas? I'm interested to hear some ideas as far as what kind of set-up you have, what kind of ventilation system you've installed, etc. I've heard a lot of opposition toward gas burners in basements, but surely there are folks out there who've made it work.

Thanks,
Vanessa

IIRC, natural gas is ok in most places; my kitchen, for example, doesn't have a vent directly above the NG stove, so as long as you have some air space and preferably a window, you should be fine. But propane is a big no-no.

I brew in my kitchen, but I've got a big 8 inch diameter direct exhaust fan about 8 feet from the stove.

I'm wanting to build something to get the water boil'n faster since i was at a local brewery lately that could boil 15 gallons in like 10 minutes with a steam setup :)

I got no issues with the propane. Just a box fan in the window for exhaust.
