Priming a growler

This week i plan on transferring some Ed Worts Haus pale ale to a secondary. I would like to fill a growler and get it to my dad this coming weekend since i wont see them for a while. How much suger should i use to prime a growler?
 
I use to use Growlers to bottle with my Mr. Beer kit awhile back, and if I recall correctly I would use 1 1/2 tbsp. They turned out good.
