Any pictures of thermowells on a keggle?

In the recent issue of BYO a guy built his own version of the Brutus Ten. In the article he mentions on his keggles he uses thermowells. Does someone have a setup like this and can upload a picture of what these thermowells look like?

So what exactly are these? How do they work?

Are they probes that are mounted onto a keggle so you can stick a temperature probe in them without damage to the probe?

Exactly. Thermowells are just a hollow tube closed off on the bottom that you can slide a thermocouple/thermometer in. I work with industrial sized thermowells in my profession, so I assume these are along the same lines.
