Brewed this one for the 2011 Superbowl - Keged this a few days ago and it is good to go - Honestly, I had to do a side by side comparison to really tell the difference between the real deal and this one. What I would probably do different on my next batch is to add more Vienna (maybe 1#) and drop the flaked oats down to .5#. But really, this beer is an AWESOME secession beer - I am having a hard time keeping my hands off of it before the game on Sunday! I am a big fan of Southern Star's beers.

This does look good! I've been looking for ideas on the next batch and I think I just found it. Thanks!

Here's what I got so far. I am using Saphir and Saaz as a sub for the Sterling, the wheat feels out of place so I may remove it.

Since I first started brewing I've wanted to try oats in a pale ale, I might have to break in my 3 gal betterbottle on this
