Tasting Notes
Tons of citrusy flavor and aroma unique to Galaxy hops...a great IPA!
My wife is my biggest critic and she LOVES this IPA. I've brewed about 30 batches so far and this is my favorite IPA recipe to date. I really wanted to maximize the hop flavor and aroma of this one, hence the additions beginning at 30-minutes and the massive dry-hop. It really worked for this beer; the hop flavor is amazing, and the aroma is like no other beer I've tried. If you brew it, please let me know what you think.

Is that for a 10 gallon batch?

It's a 5.75 gallon batch. I generally start with 5.75 or 6 gallons going into the fermentor (depending on the amount of hops), which usually gives me a full 5 gallons in the keg. This beer came out at just over 7% ABV, which keeps it closer to a standard IPA than an imperial. I really enjoyed it though! Please let me know what you think if you decide to brew it.

Sounds good to me! Seems it might lack head retention with no Crystal/Cara malts?

I finally have a lb each of Citra and Centennial hops and plan to make a big IPA with them once I see how my APA comes out with them first.
