So i am using brewzor and when i add a fermentable i see a yield %. for example my yield % for 2 row is 79% on the add fermentable screen. some like bel. wheat malt is like 80's... which i know i get a 70% eff most times. now when i back out to the edit recipe screen i see i have it set there for 70%. i dont have any other software right now and am looking at buying beersmith but i was wondering if someone could help me calculate the OG with 70% eff in another program and see if it is the same.

4.25 lbs wheat malt, bel
4.25 lbs 2 row
1.8 lbs wheat flaked

this gave me 1.053 OG in brewzor... does this coincide with other software?

Thanks!:mug:

I also get 1.053 in beersmith; all-grain, single-step mash, light body/low temp, 5gal batch, pot/cooler/batch, 70% eff

Hope this helps!

Thanks. The yield % of each ingredient must mean the potential you can get from the grain and the efficiency must relate to the mash efficiency. Good now i can move forward with my lemon wit!!!:ban:
