Ferment cabbage???
I don't know that it would be the best thing to ferment in given the state of the outside. I would be worried about scratches in the inside.

They said it is free of scratches. It was probably sitting outside. Some of my fermenters look like that on the outside but are fine inside. I placed a bid. If it looks like hell inside. I have some grain storage.

I wonder if it still smells like sauerkraut on the inside? Reminds me of people trying to use pickle buckets for fermenting and even years later the container still wreaks like pickles.

I asked. They said it doesn't smell like vinegar or anything.
