Pancakes?

So, I'm sampling some seriously green lager (kegged Monday) brewed with some flaked corn. It is not bad (will be much better with 4 weeks lagering), but it has an aftertaste like pancake batter. Must be the corn, I guess.

You may not have boiled it long enough, but most likely it's just green, as you said. Give it a few weeks, and I bet that taste will go away.

Or, add some maple syrup to the keg.
 
90 minute boil, most of the malt was Pils. It's just green, it's only 3 weeks old.

Not bad, really. The hops balance is good. Just that odd aftertaste that makes me think of breakfast...
