There is a new brewery opening in Dallas this fall:

Community Beer Company

They are having a "Pre-Launch" event this Thursday, November 15th, which I am heading to!

Should be interesting, and I would definately like to wish them success!

They are right across the street from the American Airlines Center (Dallas Mavericks/Dallas Stars):

The Lakewood tour isn't an exciting tour but the beer is great and they often put something cool out there. If you go, ask the bartenders about recommended blends of the beers. They do have some tasty ideas.

Community's head brewer is Jaime Fulton, previously of The Covey in Fort Worth. The 15th should be a hell of a fun event, especially for the push from Dallas Beer Week.

you should check out revolver brewing, they are located in granbury.

I have and had a great time on their opening day. So far my only complaint is trying to find it in more places.

I've only had that blood and honey and I wasn't a fan. I'm suspicious about trying their other beers.

Try their other beers; the blood and honey really is a little different from their other beers. I really like their High Brass.

Can we buy this Community beer in stores yet?

No. They're not up and running yet, or at least not on any kind of large scale. They weren't able to do their tour during Dallas Beer Week because they didn't have a CO from the city yet.

Yeah, unfortunatekly I didn't get that memo, and showed up!

Luckily, I wasn't the only one, as there was another couple that showed up!

They got their kegs in recently!

We need to start a master list of the different breweries and tours available in Texas. I only know of a couple like Rahr and Revolver.

In the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex you've got:

Deep Ellum (Dallas) Tours Thursday and Saturday
Peticolas (Dallas) Saturday tours, but not every week
Four Corners (Dallas) Not doing regular weekly tours yet
Community (Dallas) Not doing regular weekly tours yet
Lakewood (Garland) Saturday tours
Firewheel (Rowlett) Saturday tours
Franonia (McKinney) Saturday tours
Rahr (Fort Worth) Saturday tours, maybe one during the week too. Not sure.
Martin House (Fort Worth) Don't think they're open yet
Revolver (Granbury) Don't know about tours
Armadillo Ale Works (Denton) Don't know about tours
Cedar Creek (Seven Points - Not really DFW) Don't know about tours

There might be a few that I'm missing too.

Here are some pictures from their Facebook page they recently posted:

"Tuesday is our first brew on our pro system. 3 different brews this week. We can't wait to share the goodness!"

The other picture is when they went to the Dallas Winter Warmer:

"Sharing the good stuff! The Regalement, Public Ale, and Brown Ale were a hit!"

I know Revolver does tours every Saturday at 12-3p. I had not heard of the Martin House yet. There seem to be more breweries on the Dallas side of DFW than the Ft Worth side.
