Hi!

I am still waiting to bottle my fist batch and my readings were as follows:

OG: temp: 17C; 1044
1 week primary: temp unknown; 1016
2 weeks & 2 days in primary: temp: 20C; 1011
2 weeks 6 days in primary: temp: 19C; 1010 ish.

Is it safe to bottle?
Would the 1 degree difference cause the shift from 1011 to 1010?

Thank you!

You should be fine, 0.001 over 4 days is little enough to be an error, it may not have even changed at all. Your fermentation is probably finished.

thank you.
the taste has definitely improved. Its was very sour a week ago but now it tastes like an ale!

Time to bottle.

It'll taste even better after of three weeks of conditioning and carbing up! :mug:

What adjustments do I need to make to hydrometer readings to account for temperature variance? Is it as easy as adding or taking off a few points per degree C?

Thanks!
