How will this beer turn out?

  • Move aside Sam Adams theres a new beer in town!

  • Strange, not objectionable, what the heck am I drinking?

  • Well its not harmful, maybe the frat house down the street wants it.

  • Cheese-beer induced food poisoning

haha I just read through the entire thread and you have me wanting to try something like this (even though I threw up a little at your description of the foamy alcoholic cheese stuff that you ate).

Subscribed.

definitely give it a try. There's no necessity to eat the beer cheese which resides on top after fermentation. But it is not that bad if you do. I plan to make more cream based beers in the future, possibly a peaches and cream beer for the summer.

Drinking a bananna brew right now. Just dropped a beer off with my beer yoda Doug who is adding it to his Friday beer tasting event. Ya!

I'd love to see a picture of this stuff poured into a glass!

+1

I know this whole thing has been completely haphazard, but you've gotta post some sort of summary of this whole process, Jakester. You know, for the rest of us brave/foolish souls who think this is a good idea.

MORE BANANA! :ban:

Wow, I just don't really know what to say about any of this, but I sure enjoyed reading the thread and giggling the whole way through!

Where was this guy from? Maybe we should check the local obits for any "mysterious" deaths or the local news for any sudden outbreaks of illness.

FINE... thats IT!!! I'm going to do it...

SHENANIGANS! I'm calling SHENANIGANS on this whole thread. We've all been duped.

Now the OP has no choice but to come defend himself. You cannot leave a challenge of shenanigans unanswered.

I dunno I'm pretty sure he did what he said he did based on those nasty pics he uploaded... At this point I think the beer has probably gone south and so he doesn't want to talk about it. I've been doing some cheese making in the meanwhile though, and one thing I notices is that dairy curdles very readily in acidic environments. after he skimmed all the beer cheese off and then transferred it to secondary all that was likely left was whey, which is just water and some minerals. I dunno hopefully he answers your taunt soon ;)

As someone who works with photoshop I think the pics were real. I think he brewed this beer and either got sick, or it was totally disgusting, or he made a **** ton of bottle bombs(earlier he mentioned using twice the sugar to carb). Whatever happens I think OP is just trying to let this be forgotten.

All though I would love to be proven wrong.

Why not admit it was nasty? All have a good laugh at it. No shame in a failed experiment, especially one as crazy as this one.

Some people have a hard time accepting failure or disappointment. I would love to hear the REAL outcome of this whole escapade, but it seems we may have to deduce that the result was failure...

Unless, of course, the OP wants to chime in again...

Oddly enough, especially with homebrewing or brewing in general, there are a ton of failures and nothing to be ashamed of. I hope we get an update so future attempts can learn where the failures were in this attempt.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that someone who is willing to dump a half gallon of cream into their beer on a whim is not going to take themselves too seriously to admit that it ruined the batch.
