Got my water report... now what?

OK so I just got my water report in from Ward Labs.

What does this mean, and what do I do with the information?!

pH: 7.9
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) Est, ppm: 104
Electrical Conductivity, mmho/cm: 0.17
Cations / Anions, me/L: 1.6 / 1.6

Sodium, Na 22ppm
Potassium, K < 1ppm
Calcium, Ca 8ppm
Magnesium, Mg 2ppm
Total Hardness, CaCO3 28ppm
Nitrate, NO3-N 0.8ppm (SAFE)
Sulfate, SO4-S 1ppm
Chloride, Cl 7ppm
Carbonate, CO3 < 1ppm
Bicarbonate, HCO3 78ppm
Total Alkalinity, CaCO3 64ppm
 
You take a moment and read up and learn how to use Bru'n Water and then you plug in the numbers. The Water Knowledge page on the Bru'n Water website will also help you learn what you want to do with your water for your brews.

Over all...pretty good water that is a good starting point for many brews. The alkalinity will require acidification for many lighter styles.
