My local chain grocery store started carrying Henry Weinhards recently, then I started seeing the commercials on TV, (liked the "beer fountain" idea) figured I give them a try

Liked the Northwest Trail although it surprised me, very light in color... I was thinking it would be flavorless but it wasn't, although I did find it to be a little sweeter than I like. But overall I'm encouraged to try more of Henrys stash.

Anyone know much about them? Looks like it's a brewery from Oregon?

Thanks!
Cheers :)

It's owned by SAB (Miller) and isn't brewed in Oregon anymore. The IPA is simply horrid. I'm a beer geek, not a beer snob. I'll have a Pabst or even a Keystone now and then. But this stuff sucked. The Lager tasted like Miller Lite to me. I won't buy again, especially since it's a Miller product with a 'craft' label.

Come on Hammy..don't sugar coat it...tell us what you you really think about it.:D

But I have to agree, HW sucks.

This stuff sucks... It's miller under a different label, same metallic taste. Yuck !!!

too bad... it used to be a decent beer- when it was actually made by Weinhard's brewing in Portscum- drank plenty of it in college- they have changed it though- it is crappy now- I fall for it every once in a while thinking maybe I got a bad batch but it disappoints...
