Brewed an IPA last night and wound up drawing off 5.5 gallons of extra wert with a pre-boil gravity of 1.026. I was thinking of trying to make a decent little beer out of this. I have come up with a loose plan. I was hoping to get some of the excellent feedback that I have come to expect from HBT.

5.5 gallon of 1.026 PBG wert (marris o, us 2-row, crystal 10/40 made up original wert)
1 lb Cystal 10- Steep
1/2 lb Aromatic Malt- Steep
1/2 lb Special B- Steep
1 lb Orange Blossom Honey- Flame out
1/2 lb corn sugar- 10 minutes boil
1/2 oz Sweet Orange Peel- 10 minutes boil

1/2 oz Northern Brewer- 60 minutes
1/4 oz Crystal- 30 minutes
1/4 oz Crystal- 20 minutes
1/4 oz Crystal- 10 mintues
1/4 oz Crystal- Flame out

Belgian Abby Yeast

Boil 60 minutes to 5 gallons

4 weeks @ 68º F

The honey and corn sugar should be critical for bumping up your fermentable sugars in my opinion. What are you looking for, a Golden Ale style beer?
