Oh Brew Gurus,

My loving wife got me a silicone infuser for brewing with orange zest, among other things. Does anyone know of the silicone will negatively affect the flavor of the finished beer? The link below has a picture of what I got. I know I can just use a bag and will if the silicone is a problem but I'd like to use the infuser if I can since it was a gift. Thank you!

People use silicone hose which seems to have a similar heat tolerance. I bet you're fine.
 
It might float. You might need to weigh it down. It won't add off flavors though, no worries there.
