Racking Cane and hose problem...

I just received my true brew beer kit today and i was going to try and practice siphoning using water so my first experience with the beer will not end in disaster. We'll i have my racking cane and hose provided by true brew and when i try and connect my racking cane to my hose it will not fit inside or outside the hose... Am i doing something wrong connecting these two?
 
If the glove doesn't fit you must acquit :cross:. Just kidding, my hose to racking cane just slips right on. I would say if it doesn't fit you probably have the wrong sized hose, but you already knew that. In my experience there are no additional fittings just the hose directly to the racking cane.
 
Run the end of the hose under hot water then put it on while the hose is more pliable. Don't forget to sanitize afterwards.
