does it help to add a whirfolic tab to the sugar/bottling water?

i added a whirfolic tablet during the last 10minutes of the boil but would it also be a good idea to add another one to sugar water i add when i bottle?

I'd say you'd just be wasting a Whirlfloc tablet. Are you trying to further clarify the beer? Gelatin + cold-crashing will help tremendously.

total waste. whirlfloc is basically irish moss. it works at the molecular level using negative ions in the whirlfloc to attach to positively charged ions, making them clump up, and fall to the bottom of the kettle during the chilling phase.

Whirlfloc & irish moss need to be boiled to bind effectively. If you want to clarify a fermented beer; gelatin, polyclar, etc. are your choices.
