Hi All,
I've been making my own cider from home using already pressed cider from a local mill...which is getting very expensive. All of my friends and family love it so I'm looking to ramp up production a bit in the upcoming months. Can anyone tell me where I can find a commercial cider press in the USA similar to this one: http://www.vigoltd.com/Catalogue/Ap.../Single/Voran-hydraulic-single-P1-bed-presses
Vigo does not ship to US addresses and I've searched google using every variation of the term 'commercial-cider-fruit-apple-press-hydraulic etc'. To date I have not found anything else like what was shown in the link above. I did find one company called 'Goodnature' that had something remotely similar...but they wanted $21,000 for it...which is a little bit more than I'd like to spend on my hobby/side job. Any info would be incredibly appreciated!

Apple presses are old indeed..Im not sure where but I have heard of folks using older apple presses..not sure if thats what your after, but it will def. be cheaper.

Not the same as what you asked for but these guys have a lot of different options.

The Vigo one is similar to a goodnature roadsider from a while back but I don't think you can get them any more and like you said a lot of whats out there is pretty expensive.

If your crafty you can build a similar model from a harbor freight 20 ton shop press. You can spec it out for single or double bed if you get some additions welded up and with a hydraulic jack you can get a pretty decent throughput out of them.
