Hi, i'm new to brewing and was looking for software to keep track of everything. I have looked and BrewTrax and was wondering if anyone had used it and if you have what your thoughts on it were. any other suggestions are welcome.

Looks simple enough. Why not use pen and paper though?

Im really not a fan of these softwares that suck you in and then try to extract yearly fees.

start a blog. keep it private or make it public. I've heard you could even start at thread on this forum for tracking progress. ( then it may be edit others as well). :)

Why keep a log at all? Half the time I just throw things in a carboy and pray. Granted, this usually happens after "tasting" some previous batches.

Beersmith is good and only like $20. Helps to create recipes and saves them either locally or on their server for access anywhere.
