Sorry to be off topic but can anyone tell me what's the advantage of that lid?

With my setup, I have the line and carb stone attached to my gas in post directly.
 
Easier to move it between kegs so that you can use a single lid/stone for all your kegs? Thats all I can see that would be different.
 
Not much.. The stone just gives more exposure to co2 so it can technically carb faster... But I just use the air port and give it a week at my desired pressure @35F
