My first batch didn't get named, I was more concerned with making it not suck. My IPA is called Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Hoppiness. I've got an Imperial Red and a bourbon porter in the pipeline, Redheaded Stepchild and WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot respectively. How about everyone else?

About a month ago my Bro called me and said my Dad shot his finger off with his 45. A few weeks after, my Dad came to visit for the weekend. So with a few weeks of preparation I was ready to bust his balls about the whole ordeal. I decided to brew a beer with him and came up with Papa Nubbs Brown Ale. I'm drunk from it now and it is GOOD!
Cheers to Papa Nubbs!
Oh and he shot off his ring finger so now he has a permanant "Shocker" which was the other name I were lookin at.

My favorite one was inspired by a buddy of mine. He called me one night and said, "I'm getting kicked out of a party down the street. I'll be over in a few." It turns out he was meeting a girl there he met the weekend before. He called me right after he told her, "You're a little bigger than I normally like." We just brewed a stout for St. Patty's Day. It became...

You're a little bigger than I normally like, Stout.

My first Apfelwein attempt was called Eruption. Adding more corn sugar the next day can be fun. You should try it sometime.

Still need to name: Oktoberfest, maibock (thinking "not your bock"), rootbeer float ale

I think that's everything....

I'm still new, but I have high expectations for where this hobby will take me. I've already started thinking about brew names, and I expect to use them all.

1. "A (car)Boy and his Dog(fish)" - It's my plan for an entry to a competition that will be "shed aged", which basically means aged under almost the worst conditions, and tasted a year later. Subtitle: "A Rather Kinky Ale of Survival" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072730/)
2. "Three Columns" - In Houston there was a brew pub in Rice Village called Two Rows. Being ignorant of brewing, I thought my friends called it "Two Rose", so for the sake of GPS'ing it I had to ask them "Is that spelled like two rose and a tulip, or two rows and three columns?"

I'm not sure how he would take it. I figure it would either be awesome or I would get sued. :cross:
