I am thinking about doing an English barley wine and then a bitter out of the later runnings of the same mash. Has anyone tried to use Beersmith for such a brew? If so, how did you calculate everything in the software?

There probably is a way to do it but I don't know how to do it just in beersmith. What I do is make the big beer recipe in beersmith and then use kai's partigyle simulator to figure out the gravity of the runnings used for the small beer and then I copy the original recipe and reduce the volume of the grains to the gravity in the simulator and then adjust that as necessary.
