So I was weighing out some hop pellets for dry hopping, and I knocked the cup over and spilled them on my less-than-sterile dirty place mat. Picked them up and just about tossed them in when I thought I'd better consult 'the cloud.'

I would not worry about it. Hops are exactly processed in a "sterile" environment, and we all do just fine when dry-hopping.

hops are actually used to stave off infection. unlikely you picked anything up that will cause a problem unless they landed on a pile of moldy cheese.

Well, not moldy cheese, but my hands have now been all over them. And who knows where they've been!

Thanks for the support, I'm tossing in the carboy.
