3 lb. amber lme, 3 lb. light lme ,1lb. light dme, 2 oz. cascade , 1lb carmal 20 for steeping, 1 pack Safale S-05 ale yeast. I think 1 lb. of carmal 20 is to much ? Any suggestions on what i could add or take away from this brew ? Looking for a drinkable 5% abv beer with color between a pale ale and amber . I guess a no name brew lol :mug:

I would cut the crystal a little, maybe add some victory and up the hops to make an ipa. Maybe add centennial and simcoe. Just me, I love hops!

As it is, you're making an American pale ale coming in at 6%ABVish. Cut the C20 to around 1/2 or 3/4 and use 1.5 oz hops @60, .25 @15, and .25@5.

That's a start anyway.

Thanks folks. I can handle 6% :drunk: and i will cut the carmal. 2 oz of hops is about all i can take lol. I don't like a really bitter beer.
