I know there are commercial brews in there, but whatever. sue me.

5 gallons of Deschutes Abyss clone second runnings that 5%abv, dry hopped with 1/2oz columbus, no boil, fermented with propagated Cantillon dregs, aged on oak chips, secondary fermentation with Concord grapes aged in Bourbon. SOUR as all hell, with a nice roasty, woody, and a dry jammy finish. should be good to go in a year.

*LEFT* 5 Gallons of "FARLEYWINE", which is an american barleywine at 11%ABV, made in dedication to Chris Farley. Based on the Double Bastard recipe, but with 2 dry hop additions, aged on bourbon oak spirals.
*RIGHT* English Old ale that weighs in at 10.5%ABV aged on oak.

bp4.jpg

*LEFT* 5 Gallons of Mead aged with 5 spices. 14%ABV
*Middle* 5 gallons of "SOURCASTLE"; a newcastle recipe fermented with wild yeast/bacteria to sour it up quite a bit.
*Right* 5 gallons of American Brown Ale on oak.

118 bottles of homebrew. the big bottles in the foreground are 1.5 liter.

Just assorted batches. I'm too lazy to take the labels off so i write indicators on the cap with sharpie as to what it is. works for me.

wow, the swmbo already thinks I have too many bottles around the house. I don't think I could add a collection like that or I just need a hiding place ;)

I agree that is one heck of a stockpile you got there, my SWMBO would likely blow a gasket if I had that much on hand.

Man, where you at in Cali? Cause I think I'm gonna stalk your house for when you go out to the movies or wherever. Just warning you in advance.

i live in Mordor, CA, and one does not simply stalk into mordor.

Did you wait in that horrendous line for the Black Tuesday(s)?

hell yeah i did!!!!!! 4 and a half hours. it was worth it at the end though...chocolate rain was off the hook!

I really want to hate you right now but that would be wrong. Congrats!
The sad thing is that I have had most of the beers in your collection....... I just couldn't save them and they all were drank within a year of purchase. I can't seem to age beer for longer than a year. It tends to have a habit of escaping the bottles and leading a sneak insertion into my tummy. :)

Figured I'd throw some in here for fun. My collection is not nearly as nice as Thor's but I've got a few gems.

man, that makes me thirsty. have you had the Sawyer's Triple yet? I bought two bottles of it last time I was at stone. I drank one already and loved it and saved the other for my brother and I to share at thanksgiving. I think it's one of the best beers they make. it's a shame it's so hard to get. but it is for a good cause. I may have to sneak back up there and see if they have any more left.
