I've been watching the Ranco ETC-111000 units on ebay in hopes of picking one up. I'm confused because some aucitions list the ETC-111000 as 120/208/240V capable which I take to suggest you can wire it for any of those voltages.
However, I see this caution on another auction (somebody selling the ETC-111000 already wired for 120V):
"Watch out for similar looking Ranco controllers on eBay that are wired for 24V. These controllers will require you to purchase and wire up an separate 24 volt power supply. The controller that I sell is self contained and needs no external supply! "
I'm not sure what this guy is talking about. Does he mean 240V? Are there different Ranco ETC's that are only 240V, and wouldn't they have a different model number? I'm under the impression that the Ranco ETC-111000 is compatible with any of the three voltage standards and it's just how you wire it up...
I'm pretty sure I can handle the wiring myself, I just want to make sure I'm buying the right unit for my 120V household wiring and refrigerator.
Thanks!
