I want to use Grolsch bottles so I'm not throwing caps out for them to sit an a landfill until the sun goes supernova.

Will the rubber grommet keep beers as fresh as a pressed cap?

How often does one have to replace said rubber grommet?

Thanks!

May I ask where you get the brown version, I was worried about solar radiation getting to the beer if I use the green grolsch bottles.

thanks

The green bottles will be fine - just store them in a box.

That being said, Grolsch Amber, Fischer, and some German beers come in brown flip-top bottles. You can buy them from EZ-Cap among others. Check craigslist or eBay as well.
