Just brewed a Pale Ale using 2oz of Chinook & Cascade homegrown hops! First year plants / first time brewing with homegrown hops. It smelled fantastic! Anyone had success yet?
I just brewed a wet hop beer, 5 gallons. Used all 3 pounds of hops I grew this year, right after picking. 60 minute boil, with equal additions every 10 minutes. We'll see how it comes out in a month or so...
I picked my Centennials about two weeks ago and immediately used 12oz to wet(dry) hop an IPA before drying and bagging the rest. I bottled that last Saturday and am pretty excited based on the taste of the hydrometer sample!
