I am making a raspberry wheat. First time to make this recipe. Basic brew part extract part grain. Time to transfer to secondary and add the fruit. When I popped the lid on the primary there was a thick bubbly head. Smelled like bread. Is this normal?

Looks like normal krausen to me. And it's not done yet.

What yeast did you use and how long has it been in primary? I assume since it's a wheat beer that you used a wheat strain. Wheat strains tend to be pretty active.

White labs abbey ale yeast. Thanks folks just never encountered the foam it had always subsided after a week.

I use the grain bag around my syphon tube to try and keep more particulate from going into secondary or bottling bucket.
