I searched a bit before posting this; my apologies if this has been asked and answered before.

Does anyone have any experience using the plastic CO2 distributors? They are cheaper than aluminum and brass and I'm wondering if there are disadvantages I'm not seeing.

Can you post a link to one? I have never seen a plastic one. If you are on a budget you can use stainless or plastic barbed T fittings chained together to split the gas lines.

The major cost of a manifold is the fittings: shutoffs, check valves. Using PCV would be a minor savings and you might end up paying even more once you factor in the PVC-to-brass adapters.

Plus, PVC isn't designed for gas. I've seen what an exploding 1" PVC pipe can do to to someone's shop walls. Luckily, he wasn't in the shop when the compress air line burst.
