I'm just about done with the first keg, but was wondering for the next time around. Would trub from fermentation be able to be effectively drawn out of a sanke keg? I'm trying to minimize air exposure as much as possible on a low budget (currently siphoning from one keg to another. will upgrade eventually).

I know of people who prime their kegs and are able to effectively draw a few pitchers and be good to go from then, but I'm talking an entire 15.5gal fermentation's worth of trub.

Anyone done it?

I've seen it tried with cornies, but it ended up being more trouble than it was worth. We had to dump a ton of the beer, and it never really cleared completely. It could be we were doing it wrong, but it seems like a lot of trouble to avoid a relatively small amount of oxygen exposure. have you had problems siphoning?
