DO NOT put your laptop on the kitchen table to play said music. Your lady friend will leave a glass of water on the table and your dog, while trying to get the raisins that he doesn't even like to eat (and are bad for him), will knock it over onto the computer.

At least it gave me a reason to upgrade from a laptop to a new iMac :(
 
It is possible the laptop is not totally dead if you killed power right away, and let it TOTALLY dry out. Especially if it was just water and not something sticky.
