So I'm looking at taking the plunge into kegging. I have a Sanyo 4912 that I was considering using, but I have recently been using that for lagering and don't really want to lose that capability. Instead I would like to put 2 taps on the side of my other basement fridge, a Frigidaire FRT18IL6DML.

After doing some web research, I found some suggestions that most fridges have coils in the sides, and some that almost none do. Is there an easy way to tell? Will the alcohol/corn starch slurry trick tell me if I can safely drill? Obviously the door would be a safer option, but for asthetic and convenience reasons I'd rather put them on the side.

Thanks in advance!

Wayne
