I have bottles of used yeast, first generation, taken from earlier batches of brew stored in the fridge for three months maybe slightly longer. Will the yeast still work if brought to room temperature and piched after this long?

Probably, but you'd be better off making a starter to be sure.

Yeah, I've done it, but like Llarian says, make a starter with it. I've done it with Wyeast 3068 and WLP029 yeast.
