I just made a starter and pitched some s-04 yeast I washed back on march ninth. Also started some notty from a month or so back. Got a couple of brews planned for the next few days and even though I have yeast I wanted to see if the s-04 was still viable.

Sounds good. Any questions? Good luck! :mug:

The notty took right off and will be used tomorrow or friday.. the s-04 ( which I used in a beer just a little while back) is evidently dead as it did zilch. SOO no oatmeal stout this weekend unless I make a run to the brew shop.

I was planning on pitching some S-04 this coming weekend I dug out of the trub last weekend. Any reason why your S-04 might be dead? I just split up the trub into three parts and have had it refrigerated for a week. I'm going to post pics after I pitch it.

6 months in a mason jar. and it stunk when I opened it. I tried it anyway and nothing.
