can i add Maltodextrin at the bottling stage? if so how and how much to use? also if can add it do i have to adjust my priming sugar which is 3/4th a cup for 5.25 gal batch ?

I want my Irish stout i'm clearning to be thick , and i read that green beer will thicken up but i'm not sure it was pretty watery when i tasted it .

From what I understand, Maltodextrin will add a very small amount of sweetness, but primarily will add mouth feel. I think it's recommended 4 oz per 5 gallon batch if I remember right ... more if you want it thicker ... at bottling time. I'm no expert though .. I am sure there are more qualified people to answer this questions. I just thought I would give it a try! :ban:

hmm... I used 8oz in my 5G batch of banana cream ale.. but haven't drank enough at any one time to know if gas is a problem...
I'll have to pay more attention:D
