I have these swagelok bulkhead fittings all over my brewstand. SS-810-11-8. They normally sell for about $25 new, best I've seen is $15. There are some on eBay for crazy low prices. Now is a good time to need these!

Not if you use them as I have. Valve on the outside, 1/2 tubing on the inside. Quite versatile and useful.
 
I'm confused with the question. The fittings have a locknut to lock the vessel wall between the hex of the fitting. You get 1/2" male thread outside and a compression fitting inside.

My valves all have male camlock quick disconnects. My hoses have female fittings.
