I've recently had an interest in kegging and locking up the glass door curio cabinet that holds all my liqour. My idea was to transform the hall closet into an all out storage for my alcohol and kegerator (when I get one). Since SWMBO approves (we're working on the arrival of a little one), my question is this: will keeping a kegerator in a closet burn out the motor? I didn't know if it needed a certain amount of air circulating, or maybe a monthly cleaning of the coils would be enough.

I was planning on using a Sanyo 4912, which should fit (I measured).

Thanks for the help. Love this forum.

Bumping this to the top due to it's more current relevance.

I just bought a Sanyo 4912 and am debating where to put the taps (tower or door). If this will work then the kegerator goes in the closet.

Thanks all, :mug:

You need ventilation. Just remove the closet door. Put the screws back in the threshold so that you don't lose them.
