I just checked my beer and I had planned on switching to secondary today (5 days in primary). Not a lot of krausen on top and my fg is at 1.030 right now (started at 1.050). Should I let it sit in primary for a little longer or will I be ok putting it in secondary?

Let it sit until at least two weeks in primary before you transfer. Maybe even three.

Regardless, let your gravity get stable first - secondary is for clarifying, bulk aging, maybe adding fruit or the like. Fermentation should finish in primary.

Thanks guys. Glad I posted this before I just went Shea and did it guess I had a case of noob patience. ;D

1.030 is too high, it's not done fermenting. Like homebrewdad said before, secondary is only for clarifying, bulk aging, maybe adding fruit.
