Slap it down you perverts! :tank: It's for an 18 gallon batch! :mug:

Brewing this up either this weekend or next. Bought a bunch of hops from Direct Hops a while ago and would like to use some up. Got the yeast ranching. Gotta use some DME to be able to fit the grain in my Mash Tun. I wussed out and added a 30 min hop addition because I had all my bittering at 60 min. Saving the other 24 ounces for post boil!!! Using the Vienna to give a good malt backbone without adding unfermentables. Figured I have enough in the DME, LME and C-20L (might switch to CaraRed). The Honey Malt should help out also. I've never used Newport, Brewer's Gold or Delta hops before. Wish me luck!

I do 1# of chinook in my 10g rye ipa. I am in love with that beer! I want to marry it and have babies with it.

I recently did a rye IPA with amarillo (from hopsdirect) and it has serious cat pee aroma. Ouch. Hope yours doesn't have same.

I did an IPA a while back with no crystal malts and it came out quite nice. Thinking about doing it again. Think I would have enough maltiness with this grain bill. Just itching to try the Midnight Wheat...

My edits...

Golden Promise and the Extract that you must use 60.0 %
Rye Malt 18.0 %
Vienna Malt 12.0 %
Sugar 5%
Crystal 20L 2.5 %
Honey Malt 2.5 %

I also think you will need way more than "1" single vial of WLP007, even with a 3000ml starter and a stir plate.
