I have an AG kit that i am planing on using and it does not say if i boil the pumpkin or put it in the mash. has any one done both and if so which one did you like more. also if any one could leave me a link to their favorite pumpkin ale recipe that would be good just trying to learn about them

People have done both. The most common practice is to mash with it. Just make sure to add some rice hulls so you don't get a stuck sparge

Chunk up the pumpkin, and put it in oven in a pan with a bit of water for 30-40 minutes, at about 300-350. Let it soften a bit. Then mash with it. Mmm good...
