I am making a vanilla bourbon Porter. I transfered the porter into my 2ndary last night, 1st I added the bourbon and split vanilla beans. When I checked on it today I saw about 6-8 little white spots on the surface. I am wondering if it is mold forming and if there is anything I can do about it now?
I sanitize everything with StarSan and have never had a problem.

If you look at korndogs pic on this link, it his starting to look like his.
Should this be happening in 2ndary?

If that's what you've got, then you're probably looking at a wild yeast. I only know of one way to stop wild yeast, but it means you would have to keg.

Usually an infection will lead to bad smells or off flavors. Watch your gravity. If your gravity doesn't stop where expected, you may have an infection.

It could just be mold also. If it's not fuzzy, scoop it off and bottle it. You'll be able to tell by taste or smell whether it's drinkable.
