I'm going to do a wheat beer. Wife loves 'em so why not. Easy summer drinking beer and should be ready in time for my B-day in August.

2 row
wheat
carapils

Cascade

Whitelabs WLP001 or Wyeast 1056

Gonna call it "Uncle Sam's wheat beer" even though I would picture him drinking a imperial stout or barley wine and smashing the mug over the heads of any foreign or domestic threats.

I plan on brewing my first batch on Monday - the Irish Red kit that came with my Midwest groupon deal :mug:

I am going to try to, not sure if my new equipment will be in yet.

My next batch is an APA, flavor hopped with Saaz.

Oatmeal stout. My first all-grain batch, so wish me luck! Just finished putting my MLT together yesterday.

You will be fine. Watch your water temps and levels and sit back and enjoy the process, with a buzz of course.

Nothing for me this weekend as I'm waiting on my Braumeister to do my next few batches. I'm bottling some wine for the wife and partaking this weekend.

You'll be fine and there is nothing more satisfying than turning grains, hops, yeast, and water to beer! One tip I can share as it was my mistake on my first few batches is to give it a good stir when you mash in! Why I didn't, I have no idea - even with that it became good, albeit slightly weak, beer. All of those ingredients WANT to become beer - it will be fine.

Two-batch weekend for me. I'm doing a saison first followed by a robust porter.

I made the saison starter at about 10:30 last night and by 5:30 this morning it had a huge krausen on it. The robust porter I'll age until October or November for drinking while watching football.

I was planning on doing a citra/simcoe APA this weekend. I wanted to use Am ale II or ESB yeast but something went wrong with my lhbs' yeast order. So S-05 it is!

I have two Northern Brewer kits I'm brewing during my week off next week: Irish Draught ale and Sinistral Warrior IPA. Looking forward to both.

I'm doing a doppelbock on the 3rd. It will be my first attempt at a decoction mash. So, this might get interesting. Also, if I have time, I will brew Yooper's Oatmeal Stout. I've brewed it once before and loved it. It now has a permanent space in my in my Keezer.

Berliner Weiss. First time doing one, so I'm looking forward to it. Started my sour starter last night.

brewed Denny's Rye IPA two weeks ago, going to rack that to secondary and dry hop - then brew a Citra APA and pitch onto the slurry (some of the slurry, not all) tomorrow.

Brewing up "The Nuge". My all nugget pale ale.

Hows that taste? I've been contemplating doing this since I have a bunch of extra Nugget hops. My Haus Pale Ale uses it as a 60 minute addition but I have been thinking about trying it as a single hop.

FWIW I use Centennial as aroma flavor hops and I get a nice spicy citrus flavor. Not sure if that is from the Nugget or Centennial.

My 4th of July brew will be an Oatmeal Stout, my first stout.

Just ordered my ingredients (from NB) on Tuesday, FedEx predicts delivery tomorrow. Pretty good turnaround...

If everything arrives on time, I'll be getting my Oktoberfest ale under way on Monday. I'll be using EdWort's recipe.

All grain, only difference is I'll be using Wyeast 2565 Kolsch yeast instead of Ed's recommended White Labs Kolsch yeast.

Overdue kudos to EdWort, by the way. I've made several single-hopped versions of Ed's Haus Pale Ale and his Kolsch recipes using different hop strains, and have been a very satisfied brewer and drinker. :)

Looking forward to how this one turns out.

(Mmmm... Beer.)
