Like the title says. I see that Bobby has a 240V version of the Chugger pump available and I was wondering if anyone has used it. I'm in the process of collecting parts for my brewery and it seems like this would eliminate the need to split off a 120V line.

Any downsides that anyone can think of?

I suppose you would have some savings in outlets, plugs, and wires if you could remove the neutral altogether. I am designing mine to use 240V pumps I harvested from an espresso machine... and you make me think I could have got away with not running a neutral--I did buy all my LEDs a while back and stupidly got 120V versions for all of them. I was surprised to discover the Auber PIDs can run on anything from 85-264 volts. Good luck. If any components fail, it wil be nice to have both 120/240 at my disposal.
