3/16" OK to use for gas dispensing?

Is there any reason not to use 3/16" tubing for gas as well as beer dispensing?
Most of what I read says to use 5/16" or 1/4" for the gas. Thanks for the help.

I would think the 3/16 is absolutely fine for gas line.

If you have extra 3/16 use that. There is very little difference in the 3/16 and 1/4 for gas supply.

the barbed ends on all the connectors are 3/8 I believe. You have to push real hard to get 1/4 thin wall on, I think 3/16 thick wall would be a pita. Other than that, no. Of course of goes on the beer lines fine so...

To echo the others...3/16 works great because you only need one size of tubing...

BTW, I've been through Chadds Ford...though many years ago. (I'm originally from Jersey, but also lived in Philly)...
