3/16" OK to use for gas dispensing?

Is there any reason not to use 3/16" tubing for gas as well as beer dispensing?
Most of what I read says to use 5/16" or 1/4" for the gas. Thanks for the help.
 
the barbed ends on all the connectors are 3/8 I believe. You have to push real hard to get 1/4 thin wall on, I think 3/16 thick wall would be a pita. Other than that, no. Of course of goes on the beer lines fine so...
 
Thanks. Just what I wanted to hear. I'm just getting the the whole kegging thing going and there are a lot of questions. HBT is amazing. Thanks again.
