I am entering my first Homebrew competition in a few months and I want to create certain water profiles for each particular beer that I enter. Example I am entering a porter, I want to find the best water profile for that style of beer. Is there an App or a place via Internet I can go to help me achieve this? Thanks

Bru'n water is probably one of the best out there.. That is what I use. It is online for download.

Also, check out the "Basic Water Primer" sticky in the Brewing Science forum - good intro, and then more information than you could ever want after. Also, chapter 15 of Palmer's book, how to brew....

I assume you are doing all-grain? Correct?

Yes. I am doing AG. Thanks for the help!

+1 for the water chemistry primer. I do all my brews with RO water now from the machine at the grocery store. I stared with the base suggestion on the primer and have adjusted a little here and there with each successive brew of the same recipe until I get it to where I like it. I'm waiting for this one to come out to see what it has to say: http://www.amazon.com/dp/0937381993/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20
