I have a bunch of hops in the freezer but am planning my first sour beer come spring next year and wanted to age some hops. How do I go about this and will 6-7 months be long enough???

I am in the same situation. I bought some 4 months ago. Come spring they should be good. This is what I've read from other people. It sounds like hearsay. Though. Haha. I heard some online retailers have 2-3 year old "hop-blowout" sales.

Take them out of the freezer and put them in an un-zipped ziplock. They are probably last year's harvest so you should be fine.

Check out your LHBS too. I was in there the other day and the guy saw I bought the Wyeast Lambic Blend and said "Oh! Do you want some aged hops?? I keep our old hops for people who want them." I scored a few oz of aged hops for free.
