The stuff in the back didn't go in. That's just storage.
There are actually dried wild mushrooms in the dish.
It's a favourite, HotPot with lamb and black pudding.

looks good orfy! i'm a huge fan of the slow cooker/crok-pot, and lamb...
been picking up legs of lamb in place of cuts of beef to stew. it costs near the same here in ohio these days.
i wonder if i can get the kid to eat mushrooms? she eats onions now, if they're cooked...
