I don't know if any tv shows have cool openings or theme songs these days. I can't really even recall anything memorable after cheers and friends went off the air...

Here's a few of my favorites...What are yours?

I've never heard of "Where the wistle blows" besides having a catchy theme, it looks like a great show in the vein of "Our you being served."

Thanks for sharing it!

It wasn't an actually show, it was a show inside the HBO series Extras.

My absolute two favorites!

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them... maybe you can hire...

And you can't have that one without this one...

Can you tell I was a child of the 80's?

I just saw that show for the first time last week. I liked it. I think it's the same team that writes "Two and a Half Men", which for my money is the funniest sitcom on network TV right now.

SWMBO and I totally get boners whenever we here the new Battlestar Galactica Theme...

I'd post it, but I dont' know how to enter You Tube videos ATM.

These are my three (two on the first vid), but you would probably need to know the shows and the language to "get" them.

The second vid is by the late great Ian drury.

About time someone mentioned it :D

The only thing I watch on my new TV that I spent $1700 on, is the news. I hardly ever watch TV at all.
Nothing is shown on aussie TV that isn't crap, or if it's good, it's a 3 year old program from US cable networks or english BBC.

Most of the time I'm watching TV programs I'm on at my PC watching The Wire and Topgear. I just saw the final ep of The Wire on monday night
Both have ended now so I don't know what to do. :(
I've just started watching a show called Breaking Bad, and I'm going to look out for new eps of Burn Notice.
Last year I was only watching Battlestar Galactica and catching up on Deadwood.

I also like this one....Takes a while to get underway though.[/URL]
Red Dwarf and MASH! I haven't seen them or heard the themes for ages. :)
MASH always felt weird to me after I saw the original movie and then started to sing along with the words to the theme.

I agree...But wasn't there at least one episode that actually used the sung theme from the movie? I've been racking my brain....I think it was an episode where a news crew was doing a piece on the unit....and Country Joe is playing and singing it....(or am I getting a scene from the original movie mixed up with the series?)
